First week back to work

We had an eventful week. It has been tough to go back to work and leave mom and baby at home, but we have recieved a ton of help from friends and family. Diane came in last week and helped us get settled after coming home from the hospital and cooked us an abundance of delicous food. Our fridge is stocked! Kate Peterson came by and cooked us some tasty tilapia giving us another nice break. Hadley is getting better about sleeping in the evening and staying awake during the day (like a normal human being). Lauren has just about fully recovered and is getting around well and travelling down to town for errands and walks with Had. Last weekend we had a nice surprise of the furnace deciding to not work at 2Am Sunday morning leading to a 12 hour fire in the fireplace. All is well, however. We now have a warm house and a happy family.

Included are some new photos - enjoy.

Photos from Grandma Susan's visit

Mom came up on Sunday and took some great photos of Hadley.

First Post!

I feel so advanced - a blog of our own! This site will be used to post pictures, stories and anecdotes based on the life of the Lausten family. Our little life just got bigger 16 days ago with the birth of our daughter, Hadley Elizabeth(12/31/07). A new year's baby born in Boulder, Colorado! Hadley was 9lbs 5oz and a lengthy 20 1/2''. Based on the interest expressed by friends and family across the country (and the world...) Lauren and I wanted to have a place to share info as Hadley grows. So here it is: the Lausten Family Blog.

As this is of course my first posting, I will likely fowl up something in the process. Hopefully associated with this post are some photos from the first few weeks with Hadley. Enjoy!

And a Video:

Wow, that was easy...
